Nike +

Hello my kiddies! These past few days have been pretty decent. Yesterday I decided to finally use my gift card from Kohl's that I got from Robert's parents LAST year for my birthday. I wanted to buy cute summer shoes but I couldn't find any...I had decided since I couldnt find anything that I'd just go home and come back another day (even though it took me nearly a year to even step foot in Kohl's). So Robert started to look through the tennis shoes...knowing I had been interested in buying a pair of Nike + tennis shoes...and found the pair below(not my color but I didn't have to spend ANY money and I got some good tennis shoes!). So I got those on sale and some Pink Converse tennis shoes (yes I like Converse tennis shoes) and this handy dandy Nike + sports band above (yep and in my signature color...PINK!)
The Sportsband tracks your distance, pace, calories burned and the time it took you to run/walk. Like yesterday I jogged and power walked and burned 364 calories and today I burned 302 :). Little by little...I'll hopefully be able to run a whole mile without wanting to die :) So far I'm just content to get out there and do something for once...I know I can keep it up!

Tomorrow is FRIDAY...yeah! Tomorrow Leneese is picking me up from work and we are going to the Poconos (in Pennsylvania). Of course I"m also gonna bring my baby Pebbles and just get away from Jersey for a bit! :) Well I'm off to shower and read some :) I hope you guys are having a wonderful evening! Loves!

Decisions...decisions...

Ok...so I've been a bit behind on updating you guys on my life...i think i've talked to everyone at least once in the past few days so its ok...

So I've been a little stressed out with how I'm goin to pay for all the expenses that are coming my way within the next few months and with all the decisions I need to make. I spoke to my boss today and told him I needed to go part-time for June and July...which means I'll be making half of what i'm making now...so I can dedicate to studying the rest of the day. He was cool with it. He also asked me what I was going to do after the exam...I told him to make me an offer I couldnt refuse and then I'd stay with him. He NEEDS me...i'm a young bilingual female...and i'm obviously a hottie too ;) I told him I wouldn't mind working IN the office (all the other attorney's travel all around New Jersey to go to court) and helping out with clients that come in and clients that call on the phone. He thought it was a great idea...he's been looking for someone dependable to stay in the office to help out. We're still negotiating...i'll update you.

I wanna make the right choice on which Bar Review course to take (yes I'm taking one!) and then decide which is more beneficial...Barbri vs PMBR and Online course vs. In-class lectures.

BARBRI VS PMBR (BAR REVIEW COURSE)

The Barbri focuses on the essay part (obviously covering all other aspects of the exam) and the PMBR focuses on the multiple choice part (obviously also covering all other aspects as well). Some people chooose one of the two courses and some take BOTH. Barbri is the more expensive one but people SWEAR by it...I dont know ANYONE that hasnt' passed the bar after taking the Barbri course. Some people take both, because there is a 3 day seminar at the end of July that you can pay $300 and they teach you tricks to taking the multiple choise part of the exam.

ONLINE COURSE VS. IN-CLASS LECTURES
I just found out that the in-class lectures are just videos that you watch in a class room...which is the point of the Online course (to watch it from the comfort of your home). For the In-class lectures there are only 4 out of about 20 that are real "live lectures" with professors that go to class...but you arent allowed to ask them questions. I've asked EVERYONE that I know that has taken the bar here...they've all said the same thing...they say if you're a disciplined person and will watch the lectures online...you might as well save yourself some money and time and stay at home or go to a library and study at your own pace and watch the same videos that you would in class...thoughts????

I'm hoping this is the LAST time that I take this stupid exam...please be praying for me and understand if i'm moody and don't wanna talk on the phone (not that that's a problem for the brother and the sister as we hardly speak anyways due to their busy schedules) I'm not telling anyone but you guys and Robert that I'm taking it...so i'd appreciate it if you wouldn't announce to ANYONE that i'm taking the test again (this is more for the parents that the siblings) even the grandparents...if they ask just tell them that i'm studying but not that i'm taking the exam just yet. I hate it to be announced and not trying to be pessimistic but if I dont pass i dont want to have to explain myself yet again.

I'll update you guys and tell you guys what I decide to take...so many decisions...

It's just another day...

So the past few days have been quite uneventful...a lot of work, reading and trying to workout.

Robert came to pick me up from work yesterday...which I LOVE so I don't have to take the hour ride bus ride home. He gave me some good news on the way to Hoboken (which is where we went to get some dinner). Out of 360 applicants for a summer externship, Robert was picked to work at a hospital for the summer. He originally thought he'd be in the ER but it turns out they decided he'd be better suited in the Cardiac ward. He was the ONLY one picked out of his school and there were only 5 slots available :) I'm proud! This is going to look great on his resume.

At Hoboken we ate our little salads and people watched. We walked by Carlo's City Hall Bakery (the "Cake Boss" bakery that's on TLC) and saw some of the workers there that are also on the show...I only smelled the goods but did not tempt myself to get anything. I rewarded myself with some fat free, sugar free (also taste free) ice cream from Cold stone...but I was quickly uninterested in it once I started eating it.

Last night after my workout...I went with Robert to get some yummy Unsweetened Passion Iced Tea Lemonade at Starbucks (100 calories and very yummy). It was very refreshing! After that he dropped me off and I showered and quite literally passed out in my bed like a baby...while I pretended to watch Seinfeld (the episode where Jerry tells a girl from HS that George is a Marine Biologist)!

Today's weather is super warm like it was yesterday. I woke up very sore...which was to be expected...and i didn't want to get out of bed. I rolled out and got ready. I walked to the bus stop and cracked open my book as I waited for the bus. So as I read and waited...a bird pooped on my book! Of course I was disgusted by it...but then remembered it was supposedly "good luck" :)

On my bus ride into work...I was very much into my book that I hadn't noticed that an hour had passed and I was about to be at my stop! I'm at work counting the hours till I go home ;)

I haven't posted pictures today...but I do have to post some pics of Pebbles really sleeping in my bed...I let her out every morning and she runs to my bed like it's hers :) she's too cute.

Happy Easter! I hope everyone's enjoying this GORGEOUS day and remembers what it's all about! The weather is awesome today...it's in the 70's...the flowers are starting to bloom and everyone and their kids and puppies are outside walking.

I slept in a little bit, since I've had to wake up at 6 am every day this week. I made an awesome egg white, spinach and turkey omelet with wheat toast. Then after that settled I dressed Pebbles up in her Easter Dress and took her on a walk :)...
It was so nice outside that I wanted to keep walking...but she can only go so far before she starts panting profusely.
I decided to take yet another pic of the skyline of Manhattan...it's beautiful! I love living here :)

So we went back to the apartment and I changed into a tank top and decided I'd attempt a JOG...yup you heard me right...a JOG!

I left my little baby passed out and turned my I-pod on and started on a little journey.
So as you should know I'm in no type of shape whatsoever. I ran about 7 blocks and wanted to absolutely DIE...I felt like my lungs were going to collapse...but I had made a goal to make it to the entrance of the park near me and I didn't stop until I got there! I walked back home...there was no way of running back...and I nearly collapsed onto my couch! I burned about 380 calories with my walk and small run :) Now I can eat more haha.

Some studying is on my agenda today...but also relaxing. I hope you guys truly enjoy your day! loves!!

Good Friday

So today I had to work my full 8 hours...it was absolutely dead in the office. I basically got paid to sit around and talk to my co-workers. It was kind of neat though...me and the other girls read the part in the bible about the arrest, death and burial of Jesus during our lunch time (in English and Spanish) to reflect about this day. My co-workers are awesome...we really like each other a lot.

The one hour bus ride home was pretty fast because I was listening to some nice music on my I-pod. Once I got home I found Pebbles on my bed asleep :) She was tucked into my blankets and with her Hippo. Too cute! I woke her up and got her ready for her afternoon walk. We had an awesome walk...the weather was amazing! We walked for about an hour and now she's passed out at home :)
I'm getting ready to take the bus to go into Hoboken as we speak(how do i look? :)! ) to meet Robert for dinner (he's working at the Hospital till midnight) and then stay around and read Eclipse (the 3rd book in the Twilight Saga...i'm very behind on it). I'm not studying tonight because I'm going to be at work tomorrow (with nothing to do) and i'll take advantage and study a lot then.
Tomorrow after work i'm planning on going with Robert into The City and meeting up with Robert Blasko. I dont know if you guys remember that he was in Theater with me in High School and we went to prom together. He's living and working in California but is here visiting with his girlfriend so we'll probably grab some dinner together and catch up after all these years.

What a fool....

So this is gonna be a short post for the day...i'm exhausted! I don't know where my time goes! So today was obviously April Fools day and everyone TRIED...but did not succeed...to fool me. Our boss sent us a letter telling us were were moving to South New Jersey...about 2 hours away...everyone flipped out but I was the voice of reason reminding everyone what today was...he's such a fool thinking he could get me ;)

So after work Robert and I tried this new "healthy" place (we've gone one other time before) again...it's called Muscle Maker Grill...very delicious! After dinner we ran to Target so I could buy a few things to make an Easter Basket for his family...don't worry it's nothin fancy ;). I got home and played with my baby Pebbles and it's ALREADY bed time!!!! Tomorrow is Good Friday but I unfortunately have work all day...oh and on Saturday too...at least I have Easter off!!!!

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain...

What started as another possible dreary day...turned into gorgeous 50 something degree weather here. This pic is the view of the city right outside my apartment walking Pebbles...beautiful! So I tried out the new "scary" leash that "chokes" Pebbles as we walk...and it was AWESOME!!!! She walked beside me like a normal dog the whole 30 minutes that we walked! I'm so happy that I finally found something that will tame the beast in her :). We saw lots of HUUUUGE dogs on the walk but Pebbles likes to pretend she's "brave" and go right up to them...however when they start walking towards here she'll start runnin like a baby!

So when I got home from my walk I found a note from the Post Office saying that they had tried to deliver my package but I wasn't home :(...so I rushed to the Post Office and picked it up :) yay...look at my yummmy goodies that mom and dad sent me because I was sick!Mmmm Lipton...Yummy Orange, Passion Jasmine Tea...a card...salchichas hahaha and other types of yummy tea!! This made my day! Thanks guys! Here's a close up at my favorite item(which I have enough to last me a few months!) and the card that was so adorable...Thanks again mom and dad! That was an awesome surprise!

So I've eaten my left over Turkey meatloaf for dinner...had a shower and am about to watch American Idol before going to bed...I've had a wonderful evening :) Happy to rest! Loves!
